The Anti-Psy-ops Story that IS a Psy-Op
Remember Journo-List getting busted? Remember the Sinclair broadcast group’s PSAs warning about stuff like that? Remember the Journo-List folks using those PSAs in memes as a psy-op against Sinclair?
Regarding the news stories across the nation and different broadcasting corporations all telling their viewers that Taylor Swift is NOT a psy-ops, well, operation.
Maybe not, but you can be certain that that story IS.
Busted again just like Journo-List.
It reminds me of the reason behind the origin of those misleading memes that began years ago and are still floating around targeting the Sinclair broadcasting group.
Those memes always failed to disclose two things:
1. What exactly was going on among those affiliates of that broadcasting group?
2. What the motives are of those who keep pushing that meme?
To answer the first question.
The owner of the Sinclair broadcasting group, concerned with the way the MSM was being used deliberately to promote or to kill certain stories, sent out a PSA for its stations to run.
But instead of filming a PSA and having all the stations run the same one, they sent the content of the PSA to their stations and allowed them to personalize it by using their own local broadcasters.
That’s it.
It was not an attempt to run exactly the same news story in exactly the same way.
It was not part of a covert attempt to coordinate news stories in a party-affiliated way or to use focus group-tested words and phrases to shape public opinion for or against particular candidates or specific political issues in a partisan fashion.
___________
To answer the second question about the motives of those creating this meme about the stations of the Sinclair broadcasting group.
What they dishonestly imply is going on in the stations belonging to the Sinclair group IS something that has been done across the whole of what’s generally referred to as the MSM for decades.
One well known instance of that was a group called Journo-List. It was a very large group of Obama supporters in the news media. They would meet by conference call to discuss news stories they thought could hurt Obama and coordinate their broadcasts to counter that. Or they planned the content, presentation, and frequency of news stories that would throw negative attention on Obama opponents.
Their operational security, though, was for shit and a number of people got on the conference call list and busted it wide open.
But the same thing is still going on, just using a more carefully controlled approach.
One such operation post-Journo-list was created and run by a former staffer of a well-known California congresswoman.
Another method is to use news organizations like AP and Reuters. A group of people with a particular political bent control what goes into them. They control what comes out. The MSM reports stories from those well-known news organizations. The content and slant of the stories are carefully curated.
One way you can tell this is going one is to analyze the subject, content, frequency, and language of stories appearing on what are supposedly entirely different TV broadcasting companies and their radio affiliates.
When you see within a single day certain news stories dominating the news, with the same take, and even using identifiable buzzwords and phrases, and then see another sudden shift, sometimes 180 degrees away from the former campaign then you have positive proof something like Jouno-List is still operating out of sight like a malignancy.
A very clear example was their Covid coverage switching from “relax, it’s no big deal. Trump is only trying to scare you and badmouth China” over the course of just a few days to “Covid is the most seriously deadly threat the world has ever known and Trump is failing to protect you from it” followed by Democrat states closing down business, instituting lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, closing schools and THEN turning around and using all the harm they created as a means of blaming it all on Trump.
It was the members of that busted Jouno-List group, pissed off over having been outed, who conceived the way to use the Sinclair PSA in a meme in order to directly attack affiliates of the Sinclair broadcasting group.
Why?
Because the Sinclair broadcasting group is owned by conservatives.
The goal of the makers of such memes is to get those who see them to believe that the members of the Sinclair group are doing exactly what THEY were busted for doing through Journo-List.
Their goals? Two in particular:
1. To weaken the confidence of the audience of those stations in the content of their news broadcasts and, in this way, to inflict damage on their political opposition.
2. To cause those whose confidence they have shaken through their dishonest use of the meme to look elsewhere for their news; you know, someplace unbiased.
And where would that be?
Obviously any other other news stations in their area that’s NOT showing up on that meme—AKA the MSM that actually IS doing what the makers of the meme falsely attribute to those members of the Sinclair broadcasting group.
So, be aware. Anyone posting those anti-Sinclair groups memes is one of three groups:
1. The propagandists who created them.
2. Their partisans only too eager to distribute them. Or
3. Useful idiots that have been created by the use of these memes, drawn from folks who generally never bother to run anything down and who are giving to being swayed by blatant flashy spectacles but who fail to ask themselves some basic questions, such as:
Why are virtually ALL of those stations featured in the meme presenting a message as a PSA rather than disguised as a news story?
Because it WAS a PSA.
The Sinclair group had already run news stories about sneaky, partisan, manipulative news propaganda when they covered Journo-List.
And, of course, since those days of Journo-List, those folks who use the MSM as tools of propaganda to their arsenal of information control added Facebook, Twitter, and all of the rest of the social media heavily staffed with ex-FBI, ex-CIA, and other intelligence agencies and all of them being controlled by many different people from a variety of federal agencies to manipulate what user groups that comprise the majority of the both the US population and the West can and cannot hear, can and cannot say.
